Travel Echocardiography Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350–$2,530
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: November 2, 2026
  • End Date: February 1, 2027
  • Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
  • Healthcare Setting: Acute-care hospital and pediatric clinic
  • Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; five shifts per week
  • Call Coverage: One to two call shifts per week, with weekend coverage approximately every fourth weekend; weekend call is generally 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • Documentation System: EPIC
  • Imaging Equipment: Philips IE33
  • Dress Code: Ceil blue or navy scrubs

Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant echocardiography experience, including pediatric cardiac imaging
  • Active ARDMS or RCS credential appropriate for echocardiography
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer credentials in Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) or Fetal Echocardiography (RDCS-FE) through ARDMS, as applicable to the candidate’s qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • Clinical proficiency in pediatric echocardiography, pediatric cardiac sonography, and related vascular studies
  • Ability to work independently, participate in scheduled call coverage, and provide imaging services in both hospital and pediatric clinic settings

Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Responsibilities

  • Perform pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms with attention to image quality, patient safety, and diagnostic accuracy
  • Provide transesophageal echocardiography support, carotid studies, and venous duplex examinations as required
  • Provide pediatric echocardiography coverage at the pediatric clinic and acute-care hospital
  • Prepare and position pediatric patients, explain procedures to patients and families, and promote a calm imaging experience
  • Operate Philips IE33 equipment and acquire complete, high-quality diagnostic images
  • Document procedures and findings accurately in EPIC
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support timely diagnosis and treatment
  • Participate in weekday, evening, and weekend call coverage according to the assigned schedule
