• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,560 - $1,670 per week
• Position: Hospital EEG Technologist / Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG/EMG)
• Setting: Hospital – EEG/EMG Unit, outpatient clinic and potential Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) support
• Assignment Type: Travel assignment
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 22, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
• On-Call / Weekends: No call required; no weekends required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of EEG and/or EMG experience in a hospital or clinical neurodiagnostic setting
• EMG/neurodiagnostic experience required, including nerve conduction studies (NCV)
• Active ABRET Certification (documentation required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS Certification (documentation required)
• Skills checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to EEG or EMG (documentation required)
• 2 completed supervisory reference forms with dates of employment (documentation required)
• Must provide full work history
• Permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of Mattoon, IL (travel assignment requirement)

Core Responsibilities

• Perform routine and extended EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and assist with EMG and nerve conduction studies (NCV)
• Assist neurologists and neuro technologists with clinic visits, EMG procedures, and epilepsy monitoring when needed
• Demonstrate working knowledge of neurology, electroencephalography, and neurodiagnostic equipment
• Explain testing procedures to patients and families; obtain accurate and concise patient histories
• Prepare patients and equipment for examinations; maintain, clean, and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment
• Produce accurate, complete EEG reports with clinical observations and document findings per laboratory standards
• Recognize, monitor, and eliminate artifacts; perform routine activation procedures such as hyperventilation
• Respond appropriately to patient emergencies and follow infection control precautions
• Understand medication effects on EEG recordings and verify physician orders and patient identification prior to testing
