Join a collaborative breast imaging team as a Mammography Technologist in Atlanta, Georgia. Travel Mammography Technologist Job Details
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870–$2,010
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 16, 2027
- Duration: 13-week travel healthcare contract
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: On-site, multi-modality outpatient medical imaging and breast imaging center
- Holiday Requirement: Work two of the following major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve
Mammography Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a Mammography Technologist or in a closely related medical imaging specialty
- Current ARRT Mammography certification
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in mammography procedures, breast imaging protocols, and patient care
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary radiology and imaging team
- Strong communication, organizational, and electronic medical record documentation skills
Mammography Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols and patient safety standards
- Prepare patients, explain breast imaging procedures, and promote comfort and cooperation throughout each examination
- Operate mammography and related medical imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the Cerner electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnostic imaging services
- Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, quality assurance, and regulatory guidelines
- Contribute to a positive patient experience in a fast-paced outpatient mammography environment
