Medical Technologist (MT) – Night Shift in Gainesville, FL: 13-week travel contract; ASCP/AMT, Florida MT license & Immunohematology certification required. Join a dynamic Gainesville healthcare team in the Core Laboratory providing essential clinical laboratory services on nights.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1920 - $2060
- Location: Gainesville, FL 32610 (Gainesville healthcare, North Central Florida)
- Setting: Core Laboratory, Hospital (clinical laboratory, blood bank, immunohematology)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (04/13/2026 – 07/11/2026)
- Shift: 8-hour nights (11:00 PM – 07:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 40

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist (MT only)
- ASCP or AMT certification required at time of submission
- Valid Florida Medical Technologist License required
- Immunohematology Technologist certification required (blood bank experience preferred)
- Experience with Wellsky, Ortho Vision, and Vista Chem laboratory systems
- Agility and ability to multi-task; cross-training and multi-disciplinary skills required
- No unexplained work history gaps over 30 days
- Must be interview-ready for Unit Manager interviews
- Dress code: Business casual or scrubs; no permeable shoes
- At least 1 professional reference dated within the last 12 months
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis in the Core Lab during night shifts (specimen processing, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology)
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of specimens and reporting of results
- Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols, quality control, and safety standards (CLIA awareness)
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, including Wellsky, Ortho Vision, and Vista Chem
- Support blood bank/immunohematology testing and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Adhere to hospital policies regarding professional conduct and dress code
