• Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Middlebury, Vermont)
• Assignment Duration: 16 weeks (March 30, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site
• Shift: 10-hour evening shifts (Monday–Sunday, schedule varies)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Caseload: 25–50 lab draws daily (outpatient and inpatient phlebotomy)
• Setting: Critical access hospital; collaborative lab team (work alongside 1–6 other techs; never alone)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,920–$2,060/week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory or phlebotomy experience required
• MLT (AMT) or MT (ASCP) certification required
• EPIC Beaker experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible in this area)
• Willingness to work every other weekend and adjust schedule as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and lab draws for both outpatient and inpatient populations (phlebotomy)
• Collect, label, and process specimens according to clinical laboratory standards and safety protocols
• Document specimens, orders, and results in EPIC Beaker and support timely workflow management
• Collaborate with laboratory team members and clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection and handling
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control in all laboratory procedures
• Participate in orientation sessions and adapt to rotating schedules as needed
• Ensure work history and onboarding paperwork are complete and up to date
