- Location: Brockton, MA 02301 — Greater Boston area (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
- Setting: Hospital – Primary Care Practice (Whitman Primary Care)
- Department: Nursing / Clinical Support
- Shifts: 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (no weekends, holidays, or on-call)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks (potential to extend)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $770 – $820
- Openings: 4 travel Medical Assistant positions
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory or hospital setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred (experience with electronic medical records)
- Strong skills in rooming patients, performing EKGs, and taking vital signs
- Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits in a busy primary care/hospital environment
- Perform EKGs, obtain and accurately document vital signs
- Document patient information and clinical workflows in Epic EMR
- Support providers and nursing staff with clinical procedures and patient care tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming exam room and clinic area
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality patient care in a diverse community
