- Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (8-hour evening shifts)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: Rotating call & holidays (generally 1 weekday call; may be up to 2 days/week depending on staffing)
- Weekend/Holiday: Rotational call coverage required
- Caseload: 10–15 cases per day — varied inpatient, outpatient, ED, and observation cases
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Scrub Color: Caribbean blue
- Charting / EMR: Epic Radiant preferred
Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,100–$2,260 per week
Job Requirements
- Certifications: ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) — national certification required (VA license not required for this assignment)
- Basic Life Support: BLS certification required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist / MRI tech experience in hospital or clinical settings
- Experience with PACS, Sectra preferred, and contrast administration
- Comfort and experience with general, MSK, neuro, vascular, and cardiac MR imaging for adults and pediatrics
- Ability to work with patients requiring anesthesia, ventilator support, or conditional implants
- Willingness to participate in rotating call and holiday coverage
- Completion of up to 8 hours of onboarding modules within 1 week of signing (not billable)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of MRI procedures (general, MSK, neuro, vascular, cardiac) for diverse patient populations — adults, pediatrics, inpatients, outpatients, and ED cases
- Operate advanced MRI systems including Philips Ingenia Ambition 1.5T and Siemens Sola 1.5T with Ambient Experience technology
- Use Sectra PACS, document scanning tools, and Care Logistics software for image management and workflow
- Prepare and safely administer IV contrast media per protocol and document appropriately
- Ensure patient safety, positioning, and comfort — including care for patients with anesthesia or ventilator support and conditional implants
- Maintain accurate imaging documentation and charting in Epic Radiant EMR (preferred)
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services
- Participate in rotating call and holiday coverage as scheduled to support hospital radiology services
