Job Details – MRI Tech Travel Assignment

• Location: Orangeburg, SC (Zip: 29118) — local candidates considered within 60 miles
• Facility Type: Level III Trauma Hospital (286 staffed beds) — hospital MRI technologist role in a radiology department
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 7, 2026 – July 7, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1760 – $1890
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Thursday (4x10-hour shifts: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 10 Hour Days
• On-Call: Yes – rotation among staff (Mon–Fri 6:00 PM–5:30 AM; weekends Sat 5:30 AM to Mon 5:30 AM)
• Weekend Coverage: Possible if scheduled for call
• Charting / PACS: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Black pants and teal top
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Job Requirements – MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience (travel MRI experience required; first-time travelers not accepted)
• ARRT (MR) certification or ARMRIT
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Hands-on experience with Philips MRI equipment (Philips experience preferred)
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Local candidates considered within 60 miles on a case-by-case basis (local pay rate applies)

Responsibilities – MRI Tech / Medical Imaging

• Perform high-quality MRI exams following hospital protocols, radiology best practices, and MR safety standards
• Screen patients for contraindications, implants, and safety risks prior to MRI procedures
• Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot Philips MRI systems; ensure appropriate MRI sequences for diagnostic quality
• Accurately document examinations and image acquisition in Epic EMR and PACS
• Provide patient education, comfort, and support before, during, and after scans—excellent patient care and communication skills
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality imaging services
• Respond promptly when scheduled for department on-call shifts and assist with emergent MRI studies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment compliant with departmental policies
