Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist (hospital or outpatient imaging)
  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment (any level of exposure is a plus)
  • EPIC electronic health record experience required (EPIC documentation skills)
  • Ability to review patient pre-screening forms for MRI safety
  • IV placement experience for contrast-enhanced MRI exams
  • Comfortable performing smaller MSK exams (hips, shoulders, knees, etc.)
  • Willingness to complete PennChart training pre-course (testing out possible with sufficient EPIC experience)
  • Solid color scrubs required
  • ARRT(MR) certification preferred or registry-eligible (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct MRI scans for a broad range of outpatient and inpatient exams with attention to image quality and patient safety
  • Operate Siemens MRI systems and related imaging technology efficiently and safely
  • Review and assess MRI pre-screening forms and ensure MRI safety protocols are followed
  • Perform IV placements and assist with contrast administration when required
  • Position patients and perform MSK and routine MRI protocols (hips, shoulders, knees, etc.)
  • Document procedures, findings, and patient information accurately in EPIC
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient care
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures
