Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active CPHT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) or PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in hospital, retail, or outpatient settings
  • Experience with on-demand compounding and chemotherapy preparation preferred; familiarity with sterile compounding and USP <797/800> guidelines a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, medication safety, and accurate record-keeping
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills when interacting with patients and clinical staff
  • Local candidates only (Philadelphia area) — must be able to commute on-site

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications across outpatient, retail, lab, rehab, and long-term care pharmacy areas
  • Perform on-demand compounding and support chemotherapy preparation under pharmacist supervision
  • Maintain accurate medication records, verify labels, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide exceptional patient-focused customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare team members
  • Support inventory management, restocking of pharmacy supplies, and controlled substance accountability
  • Use pharmacy dispensing systems and collaborate with pharmacists and nursing teams to ensure timely medication delivery
