Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist – Travel Assignment | Madison, WI

  • Location: Madison, WI 53715 (Madison, Wisconsin healthcare jobs)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/10/2026)
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,780 – $2,990 (competitive weekly pay for travel pharmacist jobs)
  • Schedule: 5x8-hour rotating shifts (Day: 06:30–15:00; Mid: 14:30–23:00)
  • Setting: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy – clinical/acute care pharmacist role

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience required (acute care pharmacist or hospital pharmacist preferred)
  • PharmD or RPh degree required
  • Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License required (will accept Act 10 license; candidate must apply for both temporary and permanent licensure)
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Epic electronic health record (EHR) / Epic charting system experience required
  • Ability to shave for OSHA respirator fit testing (no exceptions)
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care as an inpatient clinical pharmacist for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Perform pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing adjustments, therapeutic drug monitoring, and pharmacotherapy management
  • Manage drug shortages, ensure safe medication practices, and support medication-use policies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams (physicians, nurses, other allied health) to optimize patient outcomes
  • Use Epic for medication order entry, verification, documentation, and clinical decision support
  • Participate in a rotating schedule including every third weekend coverage
  • Adhere to all hospital policies including OSHA respirator clearance and fit testing requirements
