Job Details

• Setting: Acute care hospital pediatric physical therapy
• Location: Anchorage, Alaska
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5x8 day shifts
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170 - $2,330
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend Coverage: Some weekends required, approximately 1-2 weekend shifts per month
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Start Date: ASAP

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Pediatric physical therapy and inpatient experience required
• Valid Alaska Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification required
• Experience treating pediatric populations, including infants, children, and adolescents
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination skills
• Ability to document accurately in Epic electronic medical records
• First-time travelers may be considered with 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and functional goals
• Provide therapeutic interventions to support mobility, strength, balance, and developmental progress
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and safe mobility techniques
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely manner
• Support weekend coverage as scheduled and remain flexible within scope of practice
