Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Massachusetts (MA)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist; hospital/inpatient experience preferred
• Experience providing inpatient and acute care physical therapy, mobility training, and discharge planning preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining accurate clinical documentation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for hospitalized patients
• Provide acute care and inpatient physical therapy interventions focusing on mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and safe discharges
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in the medical record accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safe mobility techniques
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment and support quality improvement initiatives
