Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1850 - $1990 per week
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist (PT), preferably in hospital or acute care settings
- Valid, current State Physical Therapist license (must be eligible to practice in Florida)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Ability to work on-site in a hospital environment and manage inpatient caseloads
Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction (inpatient rehab/acute care)
- Delegate and coordinate discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients
- Design functional treatment programs to facilitate safe and effective return to community and daily activities
- Educate patients, families, students, and coworkers on treatment plans, home programs, and safety strategies
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate, measurable treatment goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address discharge barriers, including equipment trialing, patient/family training, and planning for continuing services
- Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently based on patient care needs
- Document medical records clearly, concisely, and accurately in the facility EMR in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in professional development, advocacy, and performance improvement initiatives to support quality patient care
- Promote patient and employee safety, adhering to all hospital safety policies and procedures
