Physical Therapist (Travel Contract) – Hospital & Home Health | Gulfport, MS

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740 – $1,870
• Location: Gulfport, MS 39503 (Harrison County)
• Setting: Hospital and Home Health (hospital PT & home health PT)
• Contract Duration: 10 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 3, 2026)
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
• Dress Code: Royal blue/black scrubs
• Travel: Daily driving within Harrison County to patient homes; multiple locations per shift

Job Requirements

• Current and active Physical Therapy licensure in the State of Mississippi (MS PT license)
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Doctorate preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist; home health experience is a plus
• Professional certification in Physical Therapy and current BLS preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel daily within Harrison County

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in home health and hospital settings, delivering patient-centered rehabilitation and treatment
• Perform evaluations, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document progress in the EMR
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including gait training, transfer and mobility training, ADL support, and therapeutic exercise/home exercise programs
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, PTAs, nurses, and physicians to coordinate care and communicate patient progress
• Participate in weekly team case conferences for recertification, care coordination, and discharge planning
• Maintain professionalism, safety, and compassion while traveling to multiple patient homes within Harrison County
