Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or equivalent) from an accredited program
- Active and valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Arizona (Arizona PT license)
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient clinical experience required (outpatient physical therapy, orthopedic experience preferred)
- Strong clinical reasoning, patient assessment, and treatment planning skills
- Excellent documentation skills (EMR experience preferred) and knowledge of billing/compliance basics
- Commitment to patient and staff safety, HIPAA compliance, and evidence-based practice
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy care for orthopedic and geriatric populations
- Perform therapeutic interventions, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training to restore mobility and independence
- Document patient care clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner in the facility EMR
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, fall prevention, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Promote a safe, patient-centered, and positive environment for patients and staff
