• Location: Port Charlotte, FL 33952 (Charlotte County, Southwest Florida)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital / Inpatient Physical Therapy / Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Start Date: December 30, 2025
• End Date: March 31, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Hours: 40 hours/week (full-time)
• Shift: 08:00-16:30 (8-hour days)
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,350 – $1,460 (competitive travel PT pay)
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holidays in rotation per facility policy

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Experience: Acute care physical therapy experience required (inpatient rehab or hospital)
• License: Active Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license required
• Education: MPT or DPT from an accredited physical therapy program
• Preferred: Meditech EMR experience and ICU experience (acute care skills highly valued)
• Skills: Strong communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient-centered care, and ability to manage medically complex patients

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inpatient PT evaluations and develop individualized plans of care for medically complex and post-acute patients
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, gait, endurance, and functional independence
• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 9–10 patients while meeting productivity and documentation standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, OT, SLP, nursing, case management, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately and timely in Meditech EMR
• Provide patient and caregiver education on mobility strategies, fall prevention, safety, and home exercise programs
