Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist with strong Interventional Radiology (IR) skills
• Current ARRT(R) certification (ARRT required)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with vascular and neuro IR procedures (IR tech, interventional radiography)
• Ability to provide your own radiation badge
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, patient monitoring, ECG and hemodynamic interpretation
• Excellent communication, documentation skills and ability to use EPIC charting

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, assemble supplies and set up imaging equipment for interventional radiology procedures
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ECG and blood pressure during procedures and alert physicians to changes
• Assist physicians with vascular and neuro IR cases including cerebral interventions, coiling, carotid stenting, stroke therapy, kyphoplasty and spinal procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergent IR procedures with a 30-minute callback expectation
• Initiate resuscitative measures under physician supervision when needed and follow established protocols
• Accurately document procedures in EPIC and maintain inventory control
• Instruct radiography students in the clinical setting and engage in performance improvement and educational activities
• Maintain patient confidentiality, professionalism and adherence to radiation safety standards
