Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or a related procedural imaging setting
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program
- IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
- ARRT(R) required
- ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- NIHSS required
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, contrast administration, fluoroscopy, and procedural imaging workflows
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including verification of identity, consent, allergies, and procedure readiness
- Assist physicians during vascular access, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, interventional neurology, and electrophysiology procedures
- Monitor vital signs, distal pulses, and physiologic data before, during, and after procedures
- Operate imaging equipment, contrast injectors, fluoroscopy systems, and related procedural technology
- Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention practices throughout procedures
- Advocate for radiation safety and minimize patient and staff exposure in compliance with hospital standards
- Document fluoroscopy time, radiation dose, medications, and procedural details accurately in the medical record
- Provide post-procedural care, including puncture site support, dressing application, and closure device assistance
- Assist with image acquisition, processing, enhancement, and 3D reconstruction as needed
- Support training and provide practical instruction to students and clinical partners in a collaborative healthcare environment
