Job Details

• Location: Eureka, CA 95501 (Humboldt County, Northern California)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Job Type: Travel Radiation Therapist / Travel assignment
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Radiation Oncology Unit
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,700–$2,900/week
• Charting System: Epic (experience preferred)
• Equipment: Elekta Infinity and Synergy systems
• Scrub Color: Black (Radiology)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Radiation Therapist (hospital or outpatient radiation oncology)
• Active California Radiation Therapy license required
• Current ARRT (T) certification
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Proficiency or exposure to SRS, SBRT, IMRT and CBCT imaging
• Experience with Elekta equipment preferred; training provided if needed
• Ability to float between like units and to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments to adult and geriatric patients per physician prescriptions
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment (Elekta Infinity, Synergy) and accessories
• Perform simulation, treatment planning support tasks, imaging (CBCT/kV/mV), and field shaping
• Conduct accurate documentation, chart checks and electronic charting using Epic
• Provide patient and family education on treatment procedures, side effects, and radiation safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiation oncologists, medical physics, radiology, respiratory, and social services
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, QA, infection control, and hospital policies
• Float to similar units or affiliated hospitals as required by staffing needs
