Travel Radiation Therapist Job Details
- Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,440–$2,620
- Assignment: 13 weeks; November 16, 2026 through February 14, 2027
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based Radiation Oncology
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; 40 hours per week
- Call, Weekend, and Holiday Requirements: None
Radiation Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of radiation therapy experience required; 2 years preferred
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
- Active professional state license required
- Recent experience with Varian TrueBeam technology
- Proficiency with EPIC, ARIA, and Identify systems
- Strong patient-care, communication, and clinical collaboration skills
Radiation Therapy Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, accurate radiation therapy treatments in accordance with established treatment plans
- Operate and demonstrate proficiency with Varian TrueBeam and related radiation oncology technology
- Review treatment parameters and imaging to support precise patient positioning and treatment delivery
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and communicate clinical observations to the care team
- Document treatments and patient information accurately in EPIC, ARIA, and Identify
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients undergoing oncology treatment
- Follow departmental safety, quality, and radiation protection standards
