- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts

- Schedule: Primarily day shift initially, with potential transition to nights later in the assignment
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Floating: Float to other trained units only
- Orientation: 1 general orientation shift plus 1 shift for each trained unit
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,080
Job Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; strong CRT candidates with extensive experience may be considered
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapist experience required
- Adult critical care respiratory therapy experience required
- BLS required for adult-only respiratory therapy assignments
- Experience with airway management, ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue response, rapid response support, and inhaled medication administration
- Comfort working in a highly critical care-focused, protocol-driven hospital environment
- Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and provide reliable coverage throughout the contract
- Previous travel respiratory therapy experience is welcome, and first-time travelers may be considered
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care across adult inpatient units and critical care areas
- Manage ventilators and support airway stabilization for a diverse patient population
- Perform and interpret ABGs to guide respiratory interventions and patient care decisions
- Assist with rapid response and code blue situations as needed
- Administer inhaled medications and deliver non-invasive ventilation support
- Collaborate closely with charge staff, educators, management, and medical leadership
- Document care accurately in the Cerner EHR charting system
- Maintain professional, patient-centered care while working within established protocols
