Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Hospital Night Shift in Fort Thomas, KY

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital, inpatient, or acute care setting
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and eligibility to practice in Kentucky
  • Strong knowledge of ventilator management, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol therapy, and respiratory care procedures
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent patient care standards
  • Comfortable working night shift in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Ability to perform CPR in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive respiratory care and transport support for patients entering and leaving the facility as medically prescribed
  • Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans based on clinical findings
  • Administer physician-prescribed treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen devices, aerosol therapy, and nebulizer therapy
  • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and arterial punctures according to policy
  • Monitor oxygenation and ventilation using oximetry, capnography, and other approved assessment methods
  • Assist with respiratory-related procedures and support mechanical ventilation management
  • Complete documentation accurately, including patient response, pre- and post-assessments, and respiratory care records
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams during rounds and shift handoff
  • Maintain equipment checks, support preventative maintenance, and help ensure safe operation of respiratory devices
  • Provide patient education related to treatments, tests, and home-care instructions when appropriate
