  • Healthcare Setting: Hospital respiratory care with NICU and pediatric coverage
  • Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts
  • Shift Duration: 12 hours
  • Hours Per Week: 36

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Experience in PICU and NICU settings required
  • Active New Jersey respiratory therapist license required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • BLS required
  • NBRC required
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; travelers may obtain these certifications onsite
  • Experience with EPIC charting preferred; charting system experience required
  • Familiarity with Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy support for neonatal critical care and pediatric patients
  • Perform blood gas collection and manage ventilator support
  • Initiate and manage BiPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy
  • Respond to codes and assist with in-house patient transport
  • Administer respiratory medications as ordered
  • Provide chest physiotherapy and airway support procedures
  • Support airway management including intubation assistance, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and airway placement as needed
  • Monitor patient status and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective treatment
  • Float between pediatric units and NICU as needed based on facility needs
