  • Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Previous PICU and NICU experience required
  • Active New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license required
  • BLS certification required
  • NBRC certification required
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; travelers may obtain these certifications onsite
  • Experience with EPIC charting required
  • Ability to work nights and every other weekend
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced critical care environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care support for neonatal critical care and pediatric patients
  • Perform blood gas collection and related respiratory diagnostics
  • Initiate and manage ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow therapy
  • Respond to codes and assist with in-house patient transport
  • Administer respiratory medications and deliver chest physiotherapy as needed
  • Support airway management, including suctioning, airway placement assistance, and tracheostomy care
  • Work with equipment such as Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP systems
  • Float between pediatric units and NICU as needed based on facility needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow established care protocols
