Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Active New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Experience with EPIC charting required
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP strongly preferred
  • Experience in PICU and/or NICU preferred
  • Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
  • Must be comfortable floating between multiple units as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood gas collection and assess respiratory needs for hospital patients
  • Initiate and manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
  • Respond to codes and provide critical respiratory support in urgent situations
  • Assist with in-house patient transport as needed
  • Administer respiratory medications per provider orders
  • Provide chest physiotherapy and airway management support
  • Work confidently with Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP equipment
  • Support care across PICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care units as needed
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality respiratory care in a busy hospital environment
