Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT) in the state of Ohio
  • At least 1 year of recent hospital experience as a Respiratory Therapist (hospital respiratory therapist, critical care experience preferred)
  • Comfortable with all respiratory modalities across units, including ventilator management and noninvasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP)
  • Completion of required onboarding health screenings and background checks (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, TB/PPD, COVID-19 vaccine if applicable)
  • Successful completion of skills checklist and competency exams as required
  • Valid Driver's License/State ID

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across all hospital areas, including critical care, emergency, and general units
  • Administer and monitor respiratory modalities and therapies (mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, aerosolized treatments, oxygen therapy)
  • Perform patient assessments, treatments, and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols and respiratory care standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Assist with airway management, ventilator adjustments, and arterial blood gas interpretation as needed
  • Maintain infection control, equipment safety, and a clean working environment
  • Participate in ongoing education, competency training, and skills validation
