Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Trauma Registrar in an ACS-verified trauma center
- Current experience using EPIC and Trauma One (3-5 years preferred)
- Completion of Trauma Registrar Course
- Completion of ICD-10 Course
- Completion of AIS 2005/2008 Update and AIS 2015 Courses
- CAAIS certification preferred
- CSTR certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work full-time during Pacific Time business hours
- California residency preferred to avoid time zone issues
Responsibilities
- Accurately abstract, review, and maintain trauma registry data
- Support trauma registry operations by ensuring data quality, completeness, and compliance with registry standards
- Use EPIC and Trauma One to manage and verify registry information
- Apply trauma coding, abstraction, and ICD-10 knowledge in accordance with trauma registry requirements
- Collaborate with team members to support timely reporting, workflow continuity, and clinical data integrity
- Maintain attention to detail and consistency while working independently in a remote environment
- Contribute to a reliable, efficient, and professional trauma data process that supports patient care and performance improvement
