- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,080
- Location: Bismarck, ND (58501) — Bismarck respiratory therapist, North Dakota travel RT job
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital (ICU, NICU, PICU exposure possible)
- Shift: 12-hour nights or rotating shifts (includes every other weekend and holiday)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: April 27, 2026

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an ICU or acute care setting (ICU respiratory therapist experience preferred)
- Active North Dakota Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
- Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS and NRP certifications preferred
- NICU, PICU, and ICU experience preferred for acute care and neonatal assignments
- Must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of Bismarck, ND (per travel assignment policy)
- Ability to work nights or rotating shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients in acute care, medical/surgical ICU, NICU, and PICU units
- Perform respiratory assessments, ventilator management, airway management, aerosol therapies, and therapeutic interventions as ordered by physicians
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment
- Utilize EPIC for accurate, timely charting and documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, therapists) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Follow facility badge-in/out procedures and uniform guidelines (gray scrubs required)
