• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,080
• Location: Bismarck, ND (58501) — Bismarck respiratory therapist, North Dakota travel RT job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital (ICU, NICU, PICU exposure possible)
• Shift: 12-hour nights or rotating shifts (includes every other weekend and holiday)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• Charting System: EPIC

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an ICU or acute care setting (ICU respiratory therapist experience preferred)
• Active North Dakota Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS and NRP certifications preferred
• NICU, PICU, and ICU experience preferred for acute care and neonatal assignments
• Must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of Bismarck, ND (per travel assignment policy)
• Ability to work nights or rotating shifts, including every other weekend and holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients in acute care, medical/surgical ICU, NICU, and PICU units
• Perform respiratory assessments, ventilator management, airway management, aerosol therapies, and therapeutic interventions as ordered by physicians
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment
• Utilize EPIC for accurate, timely charting and documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, therapists) to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
• Follow facility badge-in/out procedures and uniform guidelines (gray scrubs required)
