Join a fast-paced pediatric respiratory care team in Miami, Florida, as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) supporting critically ill infants and children. This 13-week travel respiratory therapist contract is ideal for an experienced RRT with recent Level IV NICU and PICU expertise who is confident managing complex pediatric respiratory cases, including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide therapy.

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Recent Level IV NICU respiratory care experience is required
- Recent PICU experience and Level I Trauma experience
- Prior travel respiratory therapist assignment experience
- Demonstrated experience with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and inhaled nitric oxide therapy
- NRP certification required
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
- NBRC verification required
- RRT license must be on file at the time of submission
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned
- Travel assignment eligibility requirements apply; local candidates may not qualify
Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to critically ill pediatric, PICU, and NICU patients
- Assess respiratory status and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans
- Manage advanced respiratory support, including HFOV and inhaled nitric oxide therapy
- Respond effectively to pediatric and neonatal emergencies in a high-acuity healthcare environment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor ventilator settings, oxygenation, ventilation, and patient response to respiratory therapy
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Cerner
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards, patient safety practices, and required certifications
