Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details
- Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930–$2,080
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 4, 2026
- End Date: January 3, 2027
- Healthcare Setting: Acute care; Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Level IV or greater Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend Requirements: Six weekend shifts per four-week schedule; weekends are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Holiday Requirements: May be scheduled as needed
- Call: No call or standby requirement
- Floating: No floating requirement
- Charting: EPIC
- Dress Code: Stone or light gray scrubs
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
- At least 2 years of pediatric and/or neonatal respiratory care experience in a PICU and/or Level IV or greater NICU
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications with required verification
- Strong pediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care respiratory therapy experience
- Experience with advanced mechanical ventilation and specialized respiratory support preferred
- Ability to participate in department-specific orientation based on prior experience
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and occasional holidays
Pediatric and Neonatal Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy and critical care support for pediatric and neonatal patients in NICU and PICU settings
- Manage and monitor advanced respiratory support, including Hamilton and Servo ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula systems
- Perform airway management, respiratory assessments, treatments, and ongoing ventilator care
- Use specialized respiratory therapies and equipment, including Aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, and NAVA
- Assist with intubation procedures and provide support during airway emergencies
- Perform intrahospital transport of critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Complete accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
