Registered Respiratory Therapist Travel Assignment in Richland, Washington

Travel Respiratory Therapist job in Richland, WA: Join a fast-paced hospital team supporting NICU and critical care patients in the scenic Tri-Cities region. This 13-week travel assignment offers rotating 12-hour shifts, competitive weekly pay, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative hospital respiratory therapy environment.

Job Details

  • Setting: Hospital-based respiratory therapy with NICU and critical care focus
  • Employment Type: Travel assignment
  • Location: Richland, Washington
  • Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00)
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
  • Float Requirement: Internal float between departments as needed
  • Orientation: 40 hours
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: September 7, 2026
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,010–$2,160
  • Holiday Expectation: Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Current Washington state respiratory therapist license in hand at submission
  • NICU III or IV experience is a hard requirement
  • Level 2 adult ICU experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT or RRT, NRP, PALS or ENPC
  • Strong background in critical care respiratory therapy and neonatal respiratory support
  • Must be flexible with rotating assignments and floating between departments

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality respiratory care for NICU, neonatal, and critical care patients
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal airway support
  • Manage and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP systems
  • Perform ABG draws, suctioning, airway management, and ventilator weaning support
  • Support patients with complex pulmonary and respiratory conditions across multiple inpatient units
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
