Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sleep Technologist / Polysomnographic Technologist or related sleep lab role
• Relevant certification preferred (RPSGT, CPSGT, or equivalent) — certifications in sleep medicine valued for hospital sleep lab roles
• Experience with polysomnography (PSG), EEG/EOG/EMG monitoring, respiratory channels, and oximetry
• Knowledge of CPAP/BiPAP titration protocols and sleep disorder testing (including OSA evaluation)
• Ability to pass a Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; familiarity with EMR/EHR documentation is a plus
• Reliable transportation to and from the hospital in Gunnison, CO

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive sleep testing and polysomnography (PSG) recording, scoring, and preliminary analysis in a hospital sleep lab environment
• Monitor, record, and interpret sleep study data including EEG, EOG, EMG, respiratory channels, and oxygen saturation
• Conduct CPAP/BiPAP titration studies and implement interventions per facility protocols to optimize treatment for patients with sleep-disordered breathing (e.g., OSA)
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the testing process; provide clear patient instructions and support
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of procedures, results, and clinical notes in the facility charting system
• Collaborate with sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
