- Shift: 8-hour days, Mon–Fri (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM); weekend rotation ~ every 8 weeks (1–2x during contract); no holidays

- Orientation: Epic EMR training, hospital and department orientation provided
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (acute care or rehab experience preferred)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active North Dakota SLP license (or eligibility) — North Dakota licensure required for this SLP job
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
- Ability and willingness to float between inpatient and outpatient units as needed
- Epic EMR proficiency preferred (electronic medical record experience)
- Travel requirement: candidates must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of Bismarck
Key Responsibilities
- Perform speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) evaluations and evidence-based treatments for adult patients
- Provide care across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings as a hospital SLP
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in Epic electronic medical record system
- Participate in scheduled weekend rotations and collaborate with nursing and therapy teams
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop patient-centered goals and optimize outcomes
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, ASHA standards, and facility procedures
