Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity in Philadelphia, PA — provide dysphagia, cognitive-communication, and adult inpatient rehab services at a leading hospital in Northeast Philadelphia (19111). Join our rehab team and make a measurable impact on patient outcomes.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania SLP license (required)
  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (or equivalent certification)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Graduate or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist preferred, ideally in hospital, acute care, or inpatient rehab settings
  • Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, bedside swallow exams, and cognitive-communication disorders
  • Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) documentation and clinical reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, OT/PT, rehab staff)
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and strong clinical judgment in a hospital environment
  • Navy scrubs required

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders
  • Provide individualized treatment plans and evidence-based SLP interventions for adult and geriatric inpatient populations
  • Perform bedside swallow evaluations and coordinate instrumental assessments as indicated
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using the hospital's EHR system
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies, swallowing safety, and therapy goals
  • Flexibility to float to other units and manage variable patient caseloads as needed
