Sterile Processing Technician Requirements
- 5+ years of acute care experience in sterile processing or central sterile services
- Recent travel experience required
- Current CRCST certification through IAHCSMM or CSPDT certification through ASHCSP
- Certification must be current and maintained with required CEUs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Fluent English communication skills required
- Strong knowledge of ortho, neuro, and cardiac instrumentation
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment with multiple service areas
Responsibilities
- Process, clean, inspect, assemble, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment for patient care
- Support operating room and clinical teams by ensuring instruments are available and ready for use
- Float to multiple departments and service areas within the hospital as needed
- Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and high standards in sterile processing workflows
- Apply advanced knowledge of ortho, neuro, and cardiac instrumentation
- Follow established infection control procedures, hospital protocols, and safety standards
- Contribute to a smooth, collaborative workflow in a busy healthcare setting
