- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,150 - $1,240
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Schedule: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Rotation: Weekend rotation once within an 8-week window
- Call: No call required
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of acute care experience required
- Recent travel experience required
- Current CRCST certification through IAHCSMM or CSPDT certification through ASHCSP
- Certification must be maintained with required CEUs
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Fluent English communication skills required
- Proficiency in orthopedics, cardiac, and neurosurgery preferred and expected
- Strong attention to detail, infection prevention awareness, and a commitment to patient safety
Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
- Prepare and process specialty instrument sets for multiple clinical service lines
- Support orthopedic, cardiac, and neurosurgical case needs with accuracy and efficiency
- Follow established sterilization, infection control, and quality control procedures
- Maintain an organized workflow to help ensure instruments are ready when needed
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support timely case turnaround and safe patient care
- Document processing activities and maintain compliance with department standards
