Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Travel Contract | Longview, TX 75605
Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST/CSPDT preferred) – 13-week travel contract in Longview, TX (75605). Evenings, 40 hrs/wk, $900–$970 weekly. Join our sterile processing team and support surgical services with a focus on infection control and patient safety.

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Evenings, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: 1 day per work week (Monday–Friday) and 1 weekend per month
- Scrubs: Provided
- Role Type: Travel sterile processing technician / central sterile tech / SPD tech
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing or central sterile (SPD) experience required
- CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of certification)
- Proficiency with instrument reprocessing: testing, steam sterilization, VPro, GI scope reprocessing, and high-level disinfection
- Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization monitoring, and documentation
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to patient safety
- Must be able to work evening shifts and participate in call rotation
Responsibilities
- Perform full sterile processing duties: cleaning, decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment (steam autoclaves, VPro systems, and GI scope processors)
- Perform routine testing, biological indicators, chemical indicators, and documentation to ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with OR, endoscopy, and clinical teams to support surgical cases and patient care
- Maintain sterile processing area cleanliness, inventory control, and instrument tracking systems
- Participate in call rotation and respond to urgent instrument needs as required
