This CVOR position in Aurora offers hands-on cardiovascular surgery experience—including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, and AAA repair—on a weekday schedule with no regular weekends. Required Qualifications

• Certification: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or ORT required
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
• Strong perioperative skills: sterile technique, instrument handling, and OR workflow
• Proficiency with CVOR instrumentation, specialty equipment, and cardiovascular supplies
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and support complex cardiovascular cases
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability in fast-paced hospital surgical settings
• Dress Code: OR scrubs provided

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
• Prepare the operating room with required instruments, specialty equipment, and supplies for CV cases
• Support procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, AAA repair, and other cardiothoracic surgeries
• Manage instrument counts, specimen handling, and efficient room turnover per hospital policy
• Collaborate with RNs, anesthesia, surgeons, and perfusion teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Participate in team-based care with 1:1 patient ratio and emergency standby support when needed
