• Job Title: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Main OR
• Location: Charleston, SC 29425
• Employment Type: 13-week Travel Contract (Healthcare Travel Job)
• Start Date: March 9, 2026
• End Date: June 8, 2026
• Schedule: Days – 3x12s (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM)
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Days
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday, 06:30 AM – 07:00 PM) per month
• Holiday Rotation: Yes, per unit needs
• On-Call: Up to 4 call shifts per month (end of shift to 7:00 AM)
• Float: Yes—float within scope to like units/sister areas as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,120 – $1,200

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technologist experience
• Certification: CST through NBSTSA required
• CPR: BLS required
• Radiation Badge: Required (must be provided by the agency)
• Preferred Experience: Neuro (spine/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (DaVinci Xi)
• Case Mix: Ortho (total joints/spine/trauma), Neuro, ENT, Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, GU/GYN
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Operating Room Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform the scrub role for a broad range of procedures in a busy Main OR environment
• Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention and patient safety standards throughout the perioperative workflow
• Prepare OR suites, instruments, supplies, and equipment; ensure case readiness and complete accurate counts
• Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs, pass instruments efficiently, and assist with exposure and operative flow as appropriate
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping in collaboration with the perioperative team
• Document and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team using Epic and unit protocols
• Participate in weekend/holiday rotation and on-call coverage as scheduled
• Float within scope to support operational needs while maintaining quality and safety
