Job Requirements (Surgical Technologist / OR Tech)

• Minimum 1 year of hospital OR experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Tech
• Perioperative experience with orthopedic and general surgery procedures preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR for documentation and charting
• Experience with surgical systems and equipment (Zimmer, Stryker, ROSA, Arthrex, etc.)
• Ability to take call and arrive within 30 minutes of notification; rotating weekends and holiday coverage required
• Required to cover up to 8 hours of late call after their shift to finish cases as needed
• Must take one L1, one L2, and one L3 call per week
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and adherence to sterile technique and OR safety standards
• Certification (CST) or Surgical Technology diploma preferred but not required

Primary Responsibilities (Surgical Tech / Perioperative)

• Assist surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team during operative procedures in the main OR
• Prepare, handle, and maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and implants
• Support orthopedic and general surgery cases, including on-call, weekend, and holiday assignments
• Ensure all instruments, implants, and equipment are set up, tested, and available for each case
• Perform instrument counts, set up specialty trays, and manage sterile supplies
• Document procedures, implants, and patient information accurately using EPIC EMR
• Assist with advanced equipment and robotics (e.g., ROSA) as required and maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
