Experienced OB/GYN sonographers can advance high-risk obstetric imaging in Spokane, Washington, with a maternal-fetal medicine team. This 13-week contract is ideal for a certified ultrasound technologist skilled in detailed fetal assessments, fetal echocardiography, and compassionate patient care. Work alongside maternal-fetal medicine physicians in a professional outpatient setting while supporting patients navigating complex maternal or fetal conditions.
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950–$2,100
- Location: Spokane, Washington
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week; 8-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Healthcare Setting: Maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk obstetric ultrasound
- Typical Workload: Approximately 7–9 detailed ultrasound examinations per day
- Call and Weekends: No routine weekends, nights, or call
- Opportunity: Temporary-to-permanent potential may be available
Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional diagnostic medical sonography experience
- ARDMS certification in OB/GYN required
- Nuchal translucency (NT) certification required
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated fetal echocardiography experience
- Recent OB/GYN sonography and outpatient ultrasound experience
- Experience performing detailed imaging for high-risk pregnancies
- Proficiency with Epic and electronic clinical documentation
- Ability to meet applicable state credentialing requirements; required credentials must be active and available before the assignment begins
- Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the past three years
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
High-Risk Obstetric Ultrasound Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive first-, second-, and third-trimester obstetric ultrasound examinations
- Complete fetal anatomic surveys, fetal growth assessments, biophysical profiles, Doppler studies, and nuchal translucency screenings
- Perform fetal echocardiograms and evaluate complex fetal anatomy
- Assess maternal and fetal structures, including the abdomen, uterus, ovaries, placenta, umbilical cord, ventricles, cerebellum, diaphragm, and heart
- Document accurate ultrasound findings in Epic and related imaging systems
- Communicate examination findings and pertinent observations to maternal-fetal medicine physicians
- Assist with amniocentesis, amnioreduction, chorionic villus sampling, and PUBS procedures
- Provide clear explanations and compassionate support to patients and families during examinations
- Float within scope to nearby affiliated locations when needed to support patient care
