Job Details – Travel Ultrasound Tech

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350 - $2,530
• Location: Victoria, TX (77901) — Texas ultrasound jobs, hospital setting, cardiology unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:00, 1 hour lunch)
• Weekend Rotation: Every 4th or 5th weekend (call required on scheduled weekends and 1–2 weekdays/week)
• Setting: Hospital – Cardiology Unit (echocardiography, vascular studies; neonates through geriatrics)
• Equipment Experience: GE, Philips, Siemens, PACS, SonoSite preferred

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) registration in Vascular Technology required (RVT/RVS)
• ARDMS/CCI registration in Echocardiography (RDCS/RDMS/RCS) preferred — Cardiac Sonographer credentials a plus
• Active license in-hand required with application submission
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Experience with hospital cardiology workflows, PACS documentation and common ultrasound systems preferred

Core Responsibilities – Ultrasound / Echo / Vascular

• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms (TTE, TEE) and intraoperative cardiac studies
• Conduct vascular ultrasound studies, transcranial dopplers (TCDs), transcutaneous oximetry (TCOMs)
• Perform stress echocardiography, EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
• Cover call as needed (registry-eligible technologists may have limited vascular call duties)
• Assist with clerical/reception duties as required and complete all patient documentation accurately in PACS/EMR
• Maintain continuing education requirements, ensure inventory is stocked and areas are kept neat
• Participate in routine cleaning and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
• Assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor
