Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar critical care setting
  • Current BLS certification through AHA
  • Current ACLS certification through AHA
  • EPIC experience required
  • CT surgery experience required
  • Experience with advanced cardiac support devices such as IABP and Impella
  • Ability to thrive in a high-acuity ICU nursing environment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to clinical needs
  • Support complex cardiac and thoracic surgery cases
  • Manage and assist with advanced cardiac support devices
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
  • Document accurately in EPIC and maintain strong clinical communication
  • Adapt to floating between ICU and IMCU as needed
  • Contribute to a team-focused environment with a commitment to patient-centered care
