- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 07:00–19:30
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950–$2,060
- Unit Size: 16 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Float Expectations: Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as needed
- Charting System: Medhost
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- CVICU experience required
- Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Active RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric critical care patients
- Ability to manage complex diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, stroke, trauma, CRRT, and respiratory failure
- Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care to critically ill cardiac and ICU patients
- Monitor and assess patients in a high-acuity, 1:2 ratio critical care environment
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the plan of care
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly with the care team
- Support patients receiving advanced therapies such as CRRT and post-operative cardiac care
- Float to the Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding when needed
- Document accurately and maintain unit standards, including attendance expectations
