- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Charting System: EPIC
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage required
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care experience required
- Experience with Level I trauma and high-acuity surgical ICU patients preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA
- Ability to titrate pressors, sedation, paralytics, and insulin drips
- Comfort reading and interpreting telemetry strips
- Strong adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced acute care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for post-surgical, open abdomen, multisystem trauma, and endovascular patients
- Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Manage and titrate critical drips according to patient needs and unit protocols
- Collaborate with intensivists, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Document accurately in EPIC and maintain clear, timely communication with the care team
- Support safe patient flow and assist with floating to lower-acuity units when needed
- Contribute to a high-performing ICU environment focused on safety, quality, and excellent outcomes
