  • Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

  • Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
  • Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
  • Floating: May float to lower levels of care as needed

ICU Registered Nurse Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
  • Level I trauma or equivalent high-acuity critical care experience preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong experience titrating IV drips, including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and insulin
  • Experience caring for post-surgical, open abdomen, multisystem trauma, and endovascular patients
  • Ability to independently interpret telemetry strips
  • Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Travel ICU Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for critically ill Surgical ICU patients
  • Monitor and manage complex patients with varying acuity levels and nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Titrate IV medications and support hemodynamic stability according to unit protocols
  • Collaborate with intensivists, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and support staff to coordinate patient care
  • Assess, document, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and accurately
  • Safely float to stepdown or general medical units when needed, maintaining appropriate patient assignments
  • Participate in unit orientation and use EPIC for documentation and workflow
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced critical care environment
