ICU Travel Nurse (Registered Nurse) – 13-Week Contract in Sacramento, CA
Join a critical care team as an experienced ICU Registered Nurse in Sacramento, California. This 13-week travel nursing contract offers $2,810–$2,960 in estimated weekly pay, 36 hours per week, and 12-hour day shifts caring for critically ill adult patients in a collaborative hospital setting. ICU Travel Nurse Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided, including California for this assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Preferred: 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related degree
- Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale certification and CCRN certification
- Preferred: Experience with dialysis, SLED, or an equivalent therapy
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
- Assess patient conditions, identify changes in clinical status, and respond promptly to urgent needs
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, invasive lines, and other critical care indicators
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and care plans in accordance with professional nursing standards
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies at all times
