- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling
- Patient Ratio: 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
- Charting System: Epic experience required
- Orientation: 48 hours
Job Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- MAB training required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the full nursing process
- Assess patients for subtle and complex changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments according to policy and standards of care
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal outcomes
- Document care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Promote patient advocacy, safety, and a high standard of clinical practice
- Support a patient population that may include GI bleed, DKA, COPD/CHF exacerbation, sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, and post-operative medical-surgical ICU cases
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented unit culture with strong clinical leadership
