ICU Travel RN Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (compact/in-state as applicable)
- Critical Care (ICU) experience required; minimum 1 year preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to float to ICU, Stepdown, and Med/Surg units
- Completion of required health screenings and background checks
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient documentation skills
Key Responsibilities – Critical Care RN / ICU Nurse
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 32-bed ICU/Stepdown unit
- Manage patients with respiratory insufficiency, cardiac arrest, sepsis, stroke, renal disorders, and complex multisystem conditions
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–1:3 in ICU and 1:4–1:5 in Stepdown
- Float as needed to Stepdown and Med/Surg, supporting staffing needs across inpatient areas
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations as required by assignment
